Alauddin of Maharaja Rawal Ratna Singh of Chittor Answer to Khilji

 Raja Rawal Ratna Singh turned down this strange demand of Alauddin Khilji against the Rajput dignity!  But even then Alauddin Khilji had described Rani Padmavati as a sister, so a way was found out at that time!  Behind the curtain, Rani Padmavati will pass by the steps and a huge glass mirror will be placed in front, in which the image of Rani Padmavati can be seen by Alauddin Khilji!  In this way, the dignity of Rajputs will not be disturbed and the talk of Alauddin Khilji will also remain!

 Alauddin Khilji cheated:-

 As per the condition, the Maharaja of Chittor showed Alauddin Khilji the mirror image of Queen Padmavati and Bhir went to feed Alauddin Khilji and crossed the seven doors of the Chittor Fort with the entire Maheman Nawaji and left him with his army!  Taking advantage of this opportunity, the insidious Alauddin Khilji took King Rawal Ratna Singh captive and imprisoned him in his camp outside the fort!  After this, sent a message that -

 If Maharaj Rawal Ratna Singh is to be seen alive, then Rani Padmavati should be immediately sent out to the fort in Alauddin Khilji's Khidmad!

चित्तोड़ के महाराज रावल रत्न सिंह का अलाउद्दीन       
                    खिलजी  को जवाब:-                 

अलाउद्दीन खिलजी  की इस अजीब मांग को राजपूत मर्यादा के विरुद्ध बता कर राजा रावल रत्न सिंह ने ठुकरा दिया ! पर फिर भी अलाउद्दीन खिलजी ने रानी पद्मावती को बहन समान बताया था इसलिए उस समय एक रास्ता निकाला गया ! पर्दे के पीछे रानी पद्मावती सीढियों के पास से गुजरेगी और सामने एक विशाल काय शीशा रखा जायेगा जिसमे रानी पद्मावती का प्रतिबिम्ब अलाउद्दीन खिलजी देख सकते है ! इस तरह राजपुतो की मर्यादा भी भंग ना होगी और अलाउद्दीन खिलजी की बात भी रह जायेगी !

अलाउद्दीन खिलजी ने दिया धोखा 

 शर्त के अनुसार चित्तोड़ के महाराज ने अलाउद्दीन खिलजी को आईने ने रानी पद्मावती का प्रतिबिम्ब दिखला दिया और भीर अलाउद्दीन खिलजी को खिला -पिला कर पूरी महेमान नवाजी के साथ चित्तोड़ किले के सातो दरवाजे पार करा कर उनकी सेना के पास छोड़ने खुद गये ! इसी अवसर का लाभ ले कर कपटी अलाउद्दीन खिलजी ने राजा रावल रत्न सिंह को बंदी बना लिया और किले के बाहर अपनी छावनी में कैद कर दिया ! इसके बाद संदेश भिजवा दिया कि -

अगर महाराज रावल रत्न सिंह को जीवित देखना है तो रानी पद्मावती को तुरंत अलाउद्दीन खिलजी की खिदमद में किले बाहर भेज दिया जाये !
